Why blog about a cancer journey?

Below is my answer when first diagnosed with early stage Breast Cancer in 2009.

My second diagnosis of Invasive Breast Cancer came in 2012….Third diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, in 2014…..The ride isn’t over yet….

It’s personal – in every sense of the word.
My diagnosis of Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ (a form of early stage breast cancer) floored those around me, along with many friends and family who live too far away to see that I am doing really well.
I am 31.
Yes – I’m in the under-35 age group which makes up only around 2% of all new breast cancer cases in Australia every year.
I feel it’s appropriate to document this ‘journey’ for myself, those around me, and perhaps others who I have never met, and may never meet. If someone is able to benefit from my experience even in some small way – I’ll be happy.
